YOKUCHI JIBAN SOIL is a complete substrate for freshwater aquariums. Top-class specialists in chemistry, biology, and environmental engineering participated in the creation of Jiban Soil . The highest quality natural raw materials were used in its production. Our substrate is designed for high-tech aquariums equipped with intense lighting and CO2 systems.
The unique production process allows for the preservation of all the natural properties of the substrates used. Thanks to revolutionary moulding and sintering technology, a homogeneous and porous matrix was created, providing an ideal environment for the development of microorganisms and plant root systems.
Microorganisms and plants remain in symbiosis, ensuring perfect growth and appearance. The use of our unique substrate ensures the long-term release of nutrients and biostimulants into the aquarium. An additional advantage is the high ion exchange capacity, which perfectly stabilises water parameters. Our substrate reduces general and carbonate hardness and corrects pH, creating an ideal environment for breeding both plants and tropical fish from slightly acidic habitats.
Instructions for use YOKUCHI JIBAN SOIL:
The substrate is ready to use; do not rinse it. Do not mix it with substrates or substrate bases from other manufacturers. In a newly set-up aquarium, cover the bottom surface with a minimum of 6 cm of Jiban soil 1. Moisten the substrate generously with water and leave for approximately 30-45 minutes. Carefully plant the plants using tweezers, sinking their roots into the substrate.
For the first 4 weeks, a 25-50% water change twice a week is recommended until the aquarium stabilises. When filling the tank for the first time and performing water changes, water parameters will stabilise again after some time. It is recommended to use RO water with the addition of Ishiko plant mineralizer.
Tap water with a total hardness not exceeding 20°H is acceptable; however, the substrate loses its ion exchange properties more quickly.
