The Aquael Filter Medium ZeoMAX Plus is a filter material for chemical water filtration in freshwater and marine aquariums and terrarium tanks.

ZeoMax Plus gravel mainly consists of carefully selected zeolites which are crystallised aluminosilicate, minerals mainly made of aluminium oxides and silicon oxides. These form loose bonds with numerous channels, chambers and pores thus resulting in a very large sorption capacity. It absorbs and binds various types of chemical impurities like nitrogen compounds, heavy metals as well as other substances like ammonia which are hazardous to fish.

ZeoMax Plus is ideally suited as a filter bed in canister filters, overflow filters, and internal filters with chambers for loose media like the Aquael Turbo Filters, as well as in sumps and filter chimneys. It is recommended for all types of freshwater aquariums.

ZeoMax Plus is ready for use immediately and does not require rinsing or any other additional activities. To ensure optimal results of the application, it is recommended to place the ZeoMax Plus behind the mechanical filtration and also behind the biological filtration. A single pack of ZeoMax Plus – 1 l is recommended for aquariums with a capacity of 150 to 250 l.
