USTM Filter RO 2 | Three-stage reverse osmosis
RO2 is a modern, three-stage osmotic filter dedicated to aquarium purposes. It is equipped with two linear cartridges and RO membrane. The system enables obtaining clean water with virtually zero content of other substances and GH and KH hardness values close to zero.
Thanks to this, it can be used as a starting material for the preparation of the environment in the breeding of most species of fish and plants, both in marine and freshwater aquariums. The water from the RO filter should be mineralized with mineralizers and adjusted to the requirements of plants and fish.
Principle of operation:
The first stage (L-PS-Q) removes mechanical impurities from the water. Sand, rust and other deposits are trapped by micropores, the diameter of which decreases towards the inside. Large particles are captured near the surface, while small ones in deeper layers.
The second stage (L-GAC-Q) removes chlorine and organic substances from the water, thus protecting the RO membrane and extending its life. Due to its porous structure, activated carbon is an excellent filter material. Chemicals are adsorbed in the pores.
The third stage (RO membrane) is made up of multiple layers of a semi-permeable, porous membrane. The pores of the membrane are large enough for water to pass through, but small enough to prevent other substances from passing through. In this way, microbes and even ions are removed from the water.
