UV Sterilizer JBL ProCristal UV-C Compact Plus 11W is a UV-C sterilizer for the rapid elimination of green and white turbidity in freshwater and saltwater aquariums. UV-C radiation kills germs, reduces the risk of infection, does not change water parameters, and has no effect on nitrifying bacteria in the filter (ceramics) and the substrate. A TÜV tested safety switch automatically turns off the UV-C lamp when the device is opened. The device is equipped with an LED indicator that indicates whether the UV-C lamp is on.

How the purifier works:

The aquarium water flows through a sturdy, UV-resistant housing. UV-C radiation kills bacteria, germs, floating algae, and to a large extent the filamentous algae spores. The efficiency of the device is particularly high because the glass cylinder is surrounded by a stainless steel foil that reflects UV-C radiation, doubling the efficiency.

Installation:

The device is connected to an external filter or a separate water pump. Thanks to the 90-degree bend, any mounting position is possible.
